Greetz All!!!

It’s been a busy few weeks for us! But we’ll start by discussing the gig with Apollyon from Saturday 28th May at Tribal Jam in Oswestry! We haven’t played Tribal Jam in almost two years, what a way to make us feel old! The show was great, but the beer was expensive, luckily Jay from Primal State [Also the promoter of the Tribal Jame events] was on hand with some free beer for the bands. Win! Also great to catch up with our Apollyon buddies, who also played a sick set! There new tunes were banging, they will also have a new E.P out very soon so keep an eye out for that! All in all, a quality night, we hope it isn’t another 2 years before our next Tribal Jam gig!

This past Saturday we played Club Academy with Killshot & Propax! We were pretty much blown away by the venue, awesome sound and a great feel to the place. A better turn-out would've been nice but we weren't expecting much having never played Manchester! We're hoping to confirm some other gigs around Manchester later in the year. Again, free beer was awesome! Cheers to the organisers for having us!

We have officially placed orders for our E.P THESE LIFELESS PLAINS this week! Everything is finally ready to send off! We should hopefully be able to announce an official release date next week! Thanks for being patient with us on this one, means a lot. We have also ordered some other bits of merch! More on this soon as well :P

We have had a make-over on our Facebook, a sexy new design by Richie Design, who did our old MySpace design, and has also helped us out with gig posters etc. Check out his website over at http://www.richie-design.co.uk/ You can check the new IMEX page on the "Welcome Page" tab on our page.

Twitter users will also notice a nice new background on our page, also courtesy of Richie Design. If you follow us, send us a mention. We are @imexofficial

Richie also put together this sweet little flyer for us, we will be updating this with other confirmed gigs as and when we announce them!
We have some gigs updates for you guys as well! We have been confirmed to play The Krazy House in liverpool on Friday July 1st! And also The Green Star in Stoke on Sunday October 9th! These will be added to the flyer soon! There are also a few other offers we are just waiting to confirm, so the summer is shaping up to be an immense one!
That's pretty much us for now, we have some awesome pics from Saturday's gig in Manchester that will hopefully be online over the next few days, other than that, keeping checking the FB for updates and keep the spreading the word! You're help is in-vauluable to us! THANKYOU!!!!

BE SAFE!!!

GREETZ ALL!!!

First and foremost A HUGE MASSIVE THANKS to EVERYONE who came down last Sunday night and went absolutely sick for us. We owe you guys so much; the harder you go…the harder we go!!!

Hope all that came had a sick time and felt the bruises the day after =P There are a few sore necks amongst us guys don’t you worry!!!

To those who don’t know and are wondering what the hell we’re talking about…last night we won our heat of the Metal To The Masses competition to play the New Blood stage of this years Bloodstock festival! So know we are through to the final!!!

We would love to see all of you guys come back for the ride one more time, and hope that anyone who couldn't make it down can make it down this time!!! So far we are in talks to put on mini-buses from The Coast, Liverpool and Winnington! So if you live in those areas and want to come, get in-touch with Sam Walker on Facebook and we’ll add you to the list for your local area! We have some awesome plans for the final and will be WELL worth your trip. Also confirmed for the final are Apollyon, Severenth and Spires, so the competition will be tough! But it’s a credit to our local scene that there is this much talent around!!!

Here is the Facebook even for our campaign. Please check it out and invite as many people as you can get away with =P -http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=167710109956375

But before that we have lots of exciting things ahead! We are playing Tribal Jam [Fox Inn] in Oswestry this Saturday, 28th May! It’s been a good while since we’ve played there and plan on getting Oswestry up to speed! We’re playing with 4 other bands including Apollyon, The Misty Blue Trio, The Albino Excuse and String The Marionette. So if you’re local to there or can get down, come join us!!!

The E.P is good to go! We will be placing our order for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS in the next week or so, so expect more news on the release date VERY soon! We also have other exciting merch news, but we will save this for next time =P

In other random news, Danny, Sam and Craig [Keith] went to see The Faceless, Born Of Osiris, Veil Of Maya & Gorod this past Friday at Moho Live in Manchester and hooooly hell what a gig, Veil Of Maya stole the show for us, with Born Of Osiris coming in a close second. But the story of the night is that we ended up heading to Satan’s Hollow and ended up partying with the Born Of Osiris, Gorod & The Faceless guys until the early hours!!! Those guys know how to party and harass local women! Danny’s bank account was £150 lighter after buying shots for them all night! But it was highlight of the year so far for sure!

Once again, apologies for the lack of updates guys, normal service shall now be resumed! Spread the word on Facebook, suggest us to your friends and follow us on twitter!

And any Impaled Existence related Planking wins a prize =P

Until next week, BE SAFE!

Greetz!

So it’s Blog O’Clock again! Hope everyone enjoyed last week’s blog and you’re getting use out of the desktop wallpapers we gave you! Gonna start with this weeks freebies! Hopefully you should have noticed our youtube video trailer for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS by now [If not the link is below!] Well we have made an alternative video featuring various shots from the recording process [Some serious and some…not so serious!]

Check it out! -

It’s been a fairly busy week with regards to our online content! We’ve had a youtube channel sitting dormant for over a year or so and we thought it was about time we started to utilise it! Head over to http://www.youtube.com/imexofficial and check out the three videos we have uploaded. So far we have –

Go and watch these if you have 10 minutes free, let’s get the views up and see if we can make it on to rudetube! We’re gonna be uploading much much more in the future so keep checking back for more updates!

There’s a small local movement gathering some momentum that we thought worth mentioning. You may have heard about “Unknown Sound” [http://www.facebook.com/Unknownsound] These guys are offering a great service for local bands to unite together and spread the collective word, not only in the local area…but all over the country! Go over to their FB page and read more about it! But if you’re in a band and want the chance to have your name passed about…get in-touch with the dudes and put your names forward! Over at their blog [http://unknownsound.tumblr.com/] they have done an in-depth review of our track “IF ERROR WERE TRUE” It makes for a great read…with Danny being described as a “bear of a man by all descriptions” being one of the highlights. Look out for an online interview they have recently done with us being uploaded soon!

So today is the deadline we set ourselves for choosing which printing companies to go with for the upcoming merch, hopefully next week we will be able to let you know which companies we thought were best prices / quality etc. More on that when we know more!

For those of you who use SoundCloud, we have uploaded two tracks off THESE LIFELESS PLAINS on there. If you’re a user head over to http://soundcloud.com/imexofficial and leave us some abuse. If there are any other websites you feel we should be using to help spread our music about, please let us know, feedback and suggestions are most welcome and encouraged!

That pretty much has everything covered for this week, so as usual stay sick and see you fuckers tonight at Hammerfest! If you see Danny, Sam and Nath knocking about [Ticket winning!] then make sure you say hey!

IMEX WEEKLY BLOG

Hope you guys all had a great week doing the things you do!
Firstly, we hope you enjoyed last week’s blog, we’ve had some great feedback on it which is EXACTLY what we want so keep it coming!!! The more the better!
Anyway…onto this weeks blog! Up first to mention is the gig from last Friday at The Parade in Llandudno! We had a FANTASTIC night and it’s safe to say everyone who came down enjoyed themselves. The support from all you Coastal metalheads is UN-REAL and we can’t thank you enough for doing your bit to keep the local music scene alive and kicking! It was panic stations to begin with as we had were struggling to give life to the P.A that we had borrowed for the evening! But Mikey came to the rescue and “Tweeked” life into it! So were up and running eventually! Was great to see MotherWrench and Inferno doing their thing, both bands OWNED it and guys was great to have you down. Everyone brought the COASTAL CARNAGE for us and we loved every second of our set, seeing you fuckers go crazy is what it’s all about! We will be putting on MANY more gigs at The Parade and make sure you keep coming down and supporting local music! Hopefully this venue might fill the void that Speaker’s Corner has left. Before we move on from the gig, we want to thank Carl Harris and James Cooper for helping us promote the night, without you two guys the gig would not have been the success it was. Mark Coxon of Jaded Images fame has reviewed the gig and you can read his thoughts here! - http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=206730479338738&id=109486822419323
More info on future gigs at The Parade next week!

SEE YOU THERE!
So we’re another step closer to releasing THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! We think we have found the CD printing company for us, the samples we have seen are JUST what we want to achieve. Don Jackson-wyatt and the www.circlepit.tv team were recently given the first promo copy of the E.P for review and the review has gone online just in time to make this week’s blog! So check out their thoughts on our new E.P here! - http://www.circlepit.tv/album-reviews/impaled-existence-ep-review We’re gonna be wanting for as many reviews as possible so keep a look out in the future for more reviews!
We cannot wait to get this out there! Not long now…By next week we hope to give you the official date of release.
Last week you’ll remember we were having our first band practise in Bagillt. This little gem of a hall Is perfect for us, has it’s own little stage and the natural acoustics there are sounding awesome! Think we have found our new home. But an apology to the neighbours…as it is situated in the middle of a residential street… =P
In this weeks BLOG we included desktop wallpapers for our subscribers to download, we didn't wanna leave you guys out so check out our desktop designs below! They come in 3 screen sizes! 800 x 600, 1280 x 1024 and 1600 x 1200 so make sure you pick the right one for your desktop!

Monday 28 February 2011

Hey guys!

Well here we are, our first weekly blog! Firstly thanks for wanting to be a part of, what we hope to be, a great way to keep you guys informed of all the updates, big and small through 2011!

As we mentioned on Facebook, we want to keep you updated on up-coming gigs, E.P release progress and all the other bits and pieces that will hopefully be of interest to you.

SO LETS GET CRACKING!

The most important update from this last week is that we finally have the artwork finished for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! Jan from Darkgrove has done a FANTASTIC job for us and we couldn't be happier. You may recall towards the end of last year we had some issues with our previous designer so it was great to have Jan come on board and be the hands on designer we needed. So you can find below the final artwork for THESE LIFELESS PLAINS! So download it and let us know what you think!

Also! Below is the final design for our new T.Shirts! We felt that the E.P cover art would work awesome on a T.Shirt and hope you agree that it looks fantastic! Again, designed by Darkgrove designs. If you want to check out more of Jan's work, hit the jump! - http://www.darkgrove.net/

So when the hell are we gonna get this E.P released you might ask! And rightly so, but you'll be pleased to know it's all systems go now we have everything ready. We are currently comparing quotes for CD and T.shirt printing, so if you know of any decent suppliers, let us know, either reply to this e-mail or hit us up on the FB page, the more comparisons we have the better. So as soon as we decide on who to go with it's full steam ahead for the E.P release. We're hoping to get it released through a distribution deal, but don't worry, you will still be able to get copies directly from us! More on that nearer the time.

Our next gig is this Friday March 4th at The Parade in Llandudno, with support coming from Inferno & Motherwrench! The Inferno guys always put on a killer set and we're looking forward to gigging with Motherwrench for the first time. We have never gigged at The Parade and it's always exciting to play at new venues. So anyone local to the Llandudno area make sure you get down to The Parade this Friday, doors are at 7.30pm with the first band being on at 8:00pm! It's a great line-up and will be a fun evening, hope to see you there!

Here is the FB event link for the gig - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=113560458721122 - RSVP it up!

At the end of March we will be supporting MAN MUST DIE at The Masque in Liverpool, more on that one next week! This line-up is NOT one to be missed!

We have recently uploaded to FB some shots from our recent photo shoot with the immensely talented Don Jackson-wyatt fromwww.circlepit.tv! We did the shots in the Denbigh moors and, despite freezing our asses off, we had a blast with Don and got some great shots out of it. We can't wait to work with Don again. So if you haven't already seen them, make sure to check them out on the FB page and let us know what you think!

Speaking of circlepit.tv, head over to the website [http://www.circlepit.tv/features/band-of-the-month] and check out the 'Band Of The Month' feature. Don did a fantastic feature on us and we're stoked to be featured on the website [thank you Don!]. While you're there, have a browse around the rest of the website and see why it's getting a stupid amount of hits a day!

Tonight we will be trying out a new practice room! We have had to leave Sychdyn behind as the owner felt that upcoming local elections deserved the space there rather than our gear cluttering up the place! [That's 5 less votes for the local labour party!!!] So tonight we will be in Bagillt and we can't wait to blast out the set and get ready for Friday's gig in Llandudno!

That pretty much does it for the first of our weekly blogs! We'll check in again next week with thoughts on Friday's gig, more updates on the E.P release and much more! In the meantime...enjoy the E.P artwork and make sure you let us know what you think!

BE SAFE!
